1. Who we are
Lucy Jobs is a graduate hiring platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights. For questions, contact support@lucyjobs.com.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone, password hash, role (graduate/employer/admin)
- Profile data: CV, skills, education, work history, company details, business licence documents
- Usage data: job applications, shortlists, profile views, notifications, and audit logs for security
- Payment data: subscription receipts you upload; we do not store full card numbers
- Third-party sign-in: Google or Telegram identifiers when you use those login methods
3. How we use your data
- Create and manage your account
- Verify graduate CVs and employer licences
- Match graduates with relevant jobs and employers
- Send transactional emails (verification, shortlists, interview invites)
- Process subscription payments and support requests
- Improve platform security and prevent abuse
4. Legal bases
We process data based on contract performance (providing the service), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, platform improvement), and consent where required (e.g. optional marketing, cookie preferences).
5. Sharing
We may share data with:
- Employers (graduate profile data you choose to make visible)
- Graduates (employer company name and job details)
- Service providers (email delivery, file storage, hosting) under confidentiality obligations
- Authorities when required by law
We do not sell your personal data.
6. Retention
We keep account and profile data while your account is active. After closure, we may retain certain records for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes for a limited period.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your data where applicable. Contact support to exercise these rights. You may also withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.
9. International transfers
Some processors (e.g. email or cloud storage) may operate outside Ethiopia. We ensure appropriate safeguards where required.
10. Children
Lucy Jobs is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
